The camp of Floyd "Money" Mayweather, Jr., the outspoken boxer has relatively been silent since Philippines' Congressman-elect Manny Pacquiao agreed to have himself blood tested 14 days before their possible bout, if the bout will be materialized. Yes, Floyd has been asking for a bigger share in a fight against Manny but now they are dead silent. Is asking for a bigger share only goes to show that Mayweather sees his loss against the Philippine champ?

But, come to think of it, Mayweather has the blue-blood-royalty privilege to punch a Congressman in the nose, right? It will be his pride to say that he had beaten a politician black and blue but of course, winning the war is not yet inevitable. But, Manny Pacquiao sees to it that it will never happen.

Top rank promoted Bob Arum told reporters that the Mayweather camp have been silent about a possible fight with the 7-division and reigning World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight champion.

Pacquiao’s camp earlier agreed to undergo tests 24 days before the fight, but Mayweather’s group insisted that blood should be taken 14 days prior to the fight. Pacquiao’s lawyer Jeng Gacal said there were reports the undefeated American has demanded a bigger share of the purse for the showdown being planned for November 13. But the Pacquiao camp insisted that they will never give in to other demands by the American boxer and former pound-for-pound king.

"If he insists on other demands again, it only goes to show that he is not willing to fight and he is afraid to face me in the ring," Pacquiao said in his own language.

The recently-concluded Philippines' Election 2010 was the first-ever automated polls election for the Philippines and it was quite a circus with all the fanfare and you know why? Lots of showbiz personalities had run for congressional and senatorial seats and some of them won. Aside from showbiz personalities, a sport icon also won as congressman in one province in the Philippines and it was none other than Manny Pacquiao himself.

But what is the actual headline here is that Manny has received the blessings from his Mom, Dionisia to fight one more time in the ring and I guess you have guessed who's going to be his adversary, right? It's Floyd "Money" Mayweather, Jr. Pacquiao will enter the Philippine parliament as congressman of the Sarangani district, hometown of his wife, Jinky. But he has more than one ambition to fulfill in the ring and the blessing of him mother is what all it takes for the fighting congressman to realize that ambition.

"Many fans really want me to fight Floyd Mayweather so I asked my Mama if we can give them one more fight, she said okay," AFP quoted Pacquiao in an interview with broadcaster ABS-CBN.

Well, it seems that the fight of the century, or the fight of the year or whatever you call it has finally ended and Floyd "Money" Mayweather, Jr. has emerged as winner and came out clean with still, a "no lose" record. But if you ask me, in general, the fight was neither the "fight of the century" nor "the fight of the year" no "whatever you want to call it". I just call it as simply "a fight", that's all. You may have seen it or you may have not but watch Mayweather vs Mosley video replay highlights and you'll see why.

Let me refresh your memory. In Round 1, the two fighters were still measuring each other up. There was no flashy moves, just dancing around and trying to size each other up. No big deal Round One 1. Round Two began and suddenly, my drowsiness faded when Mosley came with a combination of left, right, left that send the saliva of Mayweather out from his mouth and splashed all over his face or away from his face, courtesy of Sugar Shane Mosley. Suddenly, I was on my feet. If I can watch Mayweather vs Mosley video replay, I would certainly love to watch that particular scene over and over again. But suddenly, the flame died down. It came quickly and died suddenly. There was no follow-up from Mr. Mosley. Well, maybe it was because it was still "sizing up" time.

Round 6 was any of the two fighter's round. But Round 7 was the start of Mayweather's fury and Mosley "turtle dance". He was literally gasping for breath. The 38-year-old guy was exhausted and the last remaining five rounds were critical for him. He need to find a spot in Mayweather's body to knock the Money out to somehow put everything to a tie but he didn't and was very desperate and frustrated. What I like about Mosley is he is calm. He looked frustrated but he's calm all the way. It was clear that Mayweather will win the bout via UD and he did.

To conclude, this was not the fight that I expect from Mayweather vs Mosley fight. I expect more than that. Now, if Mosley won the fight and he has to face Manny Pacquiao. he'll tire himself to death. He will lie flat on his back maybe on the fifth or sixth round due to exhaustion and not through the punches of Manny. On the other hand, now that Floyd has won, he will have to "fast-forward" himself like a recording to equalize the swiftness and agility of Pacquiao. That night, Mayweather was an extraordinary fighter. But if he is to face Pacquiao, he needs to be an extra-fast fighter for he will be fighting Pacquiao in "fast-forward" mode ala video recording. Now, that the Mayweather vs Mosley fight was over, can we see a Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight on the horizon?

Everybody knows Floyd Mayweather, the former pound-for-pound king, the guy who should have fought Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao. But what about his opponent for the said boxing match this 1st of May? What about Shane Mosley?
Only a few people knows who Shane Mosley is and they all come from the world of boxing. But now, his name is ringing in almost every corner of the world. Even the not-so-avid boxing fans already heard of the name, Shane Mosley. But who is the guy, really?
"Sugar" Shane Mosley is a boxer who hails from Pomona, California. He has already won world titles in three different weight divisions. Right now, he is the WBA Welterweight Super Champion.

Before he became world champion, he was a very aggressive amateur boxer before. His last title was United State amateur champion in 1992 and at light welterweight, he also had an amateur record of 96-3. A very outstanding record indeed.
In 1993, he started his pro boxing career and he beat Phillip Holiday to win the IBF Lightweight title. After that fight, he was already on the hit-list of every boxer that you could think of from Oscar De La Hoya, Vernon Forrest, Winky Wright, Fernando Vargas, Luis Callazo, Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito and now, he is scheduled for the Mayweather vs Mosley fight this coming May 1, 2010 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
But this fight was sort of a twist of fate, if you may say. Sugar was scheduled to fight Andre Berto for a WBC and WBA Welterweight title unification bout on January 30, 2010. Floyd Mayweather Jr. Says Pacquiao Is "Amateur" During "The Event"

It seems that Floyd Mayweather Jr. won't stop blabbering anything about Manny Pacquiao. Just recently, the pound-for-pound king won against Joshua Clottey in the "The Event" match which The Pacman had won via unanimous decision for the whole 12-round fight. I bet Mr. Floyd and the rest of his entourage had their eyes glued on the TV set and watched the Pacquiao vs Clottey fight. After the fight, he (Mayweather) had this words to say and to quote:

"Personally, I think Pacquiao got exposed in that fight for being one-dimensional. You can have all [the] offensive ability in the world but with no defense you're not going to last long against a good counter puncher such as myself. Look at the way Clottey was getting through, each time he threw something it landed. Then at the end Pacquiao's was all busted up, when’s the last time you’ve seen my face all messed up like that? That’s the difference between an amateur and a true pound for pound boxer."

"The attendance numbers ain't nothing compared to what I have drawn in the past or what I would have drawn if that was me in the ring that night, everybody knows that. Half those seats were empty in the back and people say Pacquiao is a draw? Let's not forget who generated 2.5 million PPV buys in one fight alone.
