Victor Conte Is Still All Over Shane Before The Mayweather vs Mosley Live FightIn 2003, Victor Conte, founder of the Bay Area Laboratory Co-Operative, provided Sugar Shane Mosley with two anabolic steroids as well as erythropoietin (EPO) as Mosley was preparing for his rematch against Oscar De La Hoya. Sugar Shane Mosley has passed the post-fight drug test after that fight. But he later admitted that he had used EPO without his knowledge. He was referring to what Conte had given him and he claimed that he didn't know that they were steroids known as "The Cream" and "The Clear". He added that Conte duped him but Conte insisted that Mosley knew very well what those are. After all of those ruckus, Mosley has sued Conte for defamation of character.
Now, less than weeks before the Mayweather vs Mosley live fight will begin on May 1 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Conte again fed the media with tons and tons of information that suggest Mosley was fully aware of what he has taken in 2003. But since sugar Shane is busy preparing for the fight, the most lucrative fight it seems, he has no way in dealing with this...for now. Maybe, later, after the fight regardless who wins the fight.
Mosley should try to concentrate on the fight. What he should be concerned right now is right now. He has passed all the tests prior to the May 1 fight and that's sufficient enough for Mosley to prove that he's clean. After the fight, maybe he can try to face those allegations and fight another fight.
